Water-related Architecture

Throughout its history, water has been an essential resource for the survival of Canarian people.

Over the last centuries, the construction of ponds and underground water passages proliferated in order to meet the needs of new farms.

Los Realejos is one the municipalities in the Canary Islands with a greater number of water passageways spread throughout the town. Moreover, other water-related infrastructure, which has been preserved to this day, can be found around the town.
