The Bonita potato (La Papa Bonita) is a well-known and highly valued variety of locally grown potato. Twenty-nine types of this potato, together with the Canarian Black Pig and our hand-cultivated white wines have all been granted Designation of Origin status. The vines are grown using a unique and laborious cultivation technique consisting of braiding vines together. This is a traditional wine cultivation technique that has been passed down the generations for centuries, but it is a unique technique only found here and it is believed that it lends our wines their special characteristics.
