The production of patisseries is one of the most important artisanal crafts to give Los Realejos its name.
This sweet tradition can be found across the municipality. Its chief supporters can be found in the descendants of Montijo family, in the Carrera, in the confectioners ‘Pastelería de Paula’ and ‘Pastelería de la abuela Mercedes’, and also in the bakeries in the areas of La Cruz Santa and El Jardín.
All of the patisseries stand out for their quality and taste. The most popular items include: cakes, rosquetes, sponge cakes and sugar candy.
