The municipality of Los Realejos stretches from the mountains down to the coast, reaching a maximum altitude of 2,150 metres in the Fortaleza and Cabezón areas.
Many of the features we have referred to as ‘unique’ are spread throughout the municipality, as a result of either agricultural or industrial use, of the defence of the coast and of the needs of its people. These unique features tell us the story of how life was in Los Realejos.
Some of these features are in a state of neglect, whilst others have been preserved thanks to restoration work carried out over the last years. Nevertheless, they’re all worth the visit.
