The Englishman’s Small-leaved Holly

Ilex canariensis. Can be found at the Chanajiga recreational area.

This tree is commonly found in laurel woods, but also in evergreen shrubland, degraded forests, humid ravines with favourable trade wind orientation and mixed pine woods at altitudes between 600 and 1.800 m above sea level.

Its leaves are very green all year around.
