This farm is spread over 60,000 square metres and is squeezed between the sea and the mountains just a 15-minute walk from the ‘El Socorro’.
It is a family owned and run business that has been using organic farming methods since 1986. What were once dry and arid abandoned allotments, with few flora or fauna to speak of, have since become an oasis that houses the abundance of nature and is thanks to the hard work and vision of the owners.
The most noteworthy seasonal crops include: bananas, papayas, mangos, Macadamia nuts, oranges, avocados, grapefruit, custard apples (chirimoyas), pear squash, cayenne cherries, guava, feijoas, loquat, etc.
You can also get to know and enjoy the day-to-day activities of the farm and its animals: ducks, dogs, Canarian Black Pigs, chickens, carp and even parrots.
We have a meat processing plant where we chorizo perro, hamburgers, sausages and ham.
The activities of this confectioner involve the preparation of traditional sweets such as cakes, tarts, sponges, oven-baked rosquetes, meringues and sweet egg pudding.
Although production takes place all year round, at Christmas time the production of certain sweets increases and the public associates them with the Christmas season.
This business teaches the next generation its knowledge and skills in family run workshops.
Over the years, the confectioner has help our society to live out its traditions and pass them down to the next generation. They have helped keep tradition alive for the last 140 years.
In 2004 the eminent newspaper “Diario de Avisos” gave its gastronomy prize for best pastry to the pastry shop “Abuela Mercedes”.

“La Suertita Wine Cellar – Modern Tradition”.
This is a family owned wine cellar that was incorporated in the appellation of origin of Valle de La Orotava in 2006.
It began in 2001 with small harvests that have been growing over the years. Different wines are made here: La Suertita Dry White, the winery’s flagship of which most is produced. Suertita Barrel Aged White is an innovative project on the Island, because very few wines are made from the listán blanco variety of grapes and ages in casks of American oak. Further wines Suertita Red and Suertita Fruity, as well as Suertita Vijariego and Suertita Albillo. The latter two are very successful unmixed varietal wines.
This winery almost exclusively makes white wines. It is a project that is alive and creative and wants to surprise new clients and maintain satisfied existing ones.
This association has created the first municipal Skate school in the Canary Islands. Promote Skate as a healthy sport, organize events, gatherings and championships.
It maintains the municipal sports facilities for its use and enjoyment.
This local business bottles, distributes and sells wildflower honey, royal jelly and propolis.
Aura Miel supports beekeeping here in the islands and by selecting the best flowers guarantees consumers traditionally produced product of the highest quality.
The production methods used to produce this honey follow strict quality control guidelines to ensure a truly delicious organic product.
Our work, always related to the dissemination of natural and cultural heritage of the Canary Islands, comprises of a wide range of activities for both the ordinary citizen and for specialised sectors.
Many of these activities, above all natural history and ethnographic routes, are carried out making the most of the unique scenery of our natural protected areas. During these excursions, our clients will have access to accurate information, based on recent scientific research, on relevant aspects of flora, fauna, geology and human use of the different insular ecosystems.
The other side of our work, which equally revolves round the islands’ natural heritage, includes the organization and/or carrying out of workshops, courses, exhibitions and popular science conferences, among others.

The Finca is located on 1.200 m height between Los Realejos and La Orotava. The location is perfect for horses, without any noise into the nature, next to the mountains. A lot of riders are looking for these possibilities to keep their horses
El Paso de Odín offers for riders and their horses: first-class new boxes with a special full board for each horse, saddle-room, toilette, showers, parking places. The boxes are 3´50 x 3´50 m with cleaning every day.
Different activities: Excursions for no-expert and expert riders. For not so experienced riders they offer rides from 1:00 to 1:30 hours. For expert riders offer rides about 2, 3 or 4 hours. Always with a expert guide. You only have to ask.
The riding classes will be for beginners and for good riders.
This family business looks back on a hundred years of tradition. It produces appellation of origin wines of Valle de La Orotava: white, red, rosé, semi-dry, barrel aged and a new product that is a sparkling rosé wine.
These wines are sold under the brand names of Despunte, Temighar and Bencheque.
The grapes are harvested exclusively from vines trained in the braided cordon method, traditionally used by winegrowers in Los Realejos.
